Take a walk through the natural “Tomaž Kržišnik Garden”which was designed by garden architect Juta Krulc with her acute sense of space. Showing the synergy between different species of plants and specifics of the town, the garden will impress you. You will marvel at numerous domestic and exotic plants which do not thrive anywhere else in Slovenia, as well as at artworks of Tomaž Kržišnik, the painter. With deliberate architectural planning and love for life, the garden preserves and encourages the transfer of the Žiri cultural heritage in an innovative way. Duration: 1,5 h

Once we complete the tour of the Tomaž Kržišnik Garden, we will have a tour of the Alpina footwear manufacturing facility which puts Žiri on the world map. You will see the footwear manufacturing process which is a world leader in terms of innovation. Duration: 1h

Indulge your feet in the Alpina manufacturer’s store where you can buy shoes at discounted prices. Duration: 1h

In the Sklednik Restaurant you will be able to indulge yourself with a traditional “shoemaker's lunch” made of local goodies. Duration: 1,5 h

Once we complete the programme, you will be able to visit the Žiri Tourist Society where you can buy souvenirs made by local artisans.
