You can set off on the cycling tour around Žiri at any time and collect stamps to win a practical award.
We participate in the E-asy bike project which through organising and equipping the already existing cycling routes creates a new story of tourist offer, promotes cycling destinations and cycling itself as a form of sustainable mobility.
Once a year a traditional sports-recreational event known as the “Žiri Cycling Tour” takes place, intended for aficionados of mountain biking. Participants may choose among a variety of routes which differ among each other by length and difficulty level. The youngest bikers may set off on a cycling adventure together with their parents.
In recent years, the “Žiri Cycling Tour” has also been attended by runners who perceive recreation across the Žiri slopes as an interesting diversification of the tourist offer. They may choose between two different routes suitable for runners who also like to run uphill.
The event takes place traditionally every 3rd weekend in June.
